What makes it even better was the expressions he would get on his face before he did it. I know this is 7 minutes, but it's still funny as hell.

Wait a minute ... Laurinaitis just said he re-hired Big Show "last Saturday." Doesn't that make him a WWE employee when he interfered in the match against Cena, and shouldn't Johnny be fired?
Was that a stupid Laurinaitis slip-up or a plot point?

Da fuck? Shouldn't Sheamus be fired for touching Laurinaitis?

In terms of buy rate, they might be right. Didn't he have a Tyson-like effect on one of the PPVs, his first one? I think the ones after that were all losers though.

Oh god, now they've actually addressed the plot hole of Big Show's interference. It was a VERBAL agreement. Now it makes SO much sense.

Someone just shoot me for watching this crap.

Apparently from some of the websites, it was a slip-up, and they tried to fix it by claiming a verbal contract.

Which still doesn't make sense. Why would he re-sign Show if he'd just fired him, unless Show offered to help him against Cena. And event then, it happened off-camera, which is ridiculous.

What they should have done is have Ace on Smackdown, and Show confront him and threaten him with a bunch of cops getting in the way. Then Ace decides to call off the cops and tells Show to follow him into his office where they can talk privately. Then have one of the backstage interviewers try to interview both of them, with Show saying "no comment" and Ace coming up with some corporate-speak.

Especially since they were going with the obvious anyways on Sunday, just make it a better storyline. Fans weren't surprised at the interference.

A pro wrestling storyline with a logic hole so big that you can drive a truck through it? Say it ain't so.

  8. Props to my 9-year-old nephew for calling the Swagger/Tensai/Ziggler trio facing Cena/Sheamus.

    At 8:43 p.m.

Which is to say that if a 9-year-old can predict what happens on your show, it's a sign you may want to be more creative, WWE. And they want to go three hours? In the words of Chris Matthews, 'Ha!'

  9. More Punk/Bryan, less everything else please.

They might as well throw up a huge sign that reads DON'T BOTHER WITH US UNTIL SUMMERSLAM. I guess Cena-Big Show is a hedge bet because Tensai has been such a massive flop. Pretty much the only reason to watch is to see how they integrate the new talent (especially Antonio Cesaro, who has all the makings of a top-card heel sooner rather than later). And Punk/Bryan, though it's never going to be as good as we wish it could be since it'll be done within WWE constraints. Maybe an Iron Man match?

Also ignored by most of us: NXT is now being taped at Full Sail University in Florida. They rattled off a month's worth of episodes there last week. Lots of FCW guys, a handful of main show guys. Allegedly this is going to be on TV, but nobody knows when or where. Not sure if NXT Redemption (aka Derrick Bateman and a bunch of C-show guys) is still taping until the new show gets clearance or what. It should be a good move for making NXT an upper minor league and showcase for rising stars right before they make the next step. FCW will still be around, for now I guess.

  11. Happy what would have been his 50th birthday to one of my all-time favorite performers.

    RIP, Loose Cannon.

Hard to believe Pillman would've been 50 today. I didn't realize just how young he was back then.
