I so wish they would have just rolled with Lord Tensai. The gimmick of the white former superstar pretending to be Japanese, and getting angry because everyone keeps chanting Albert, is more fun and generates more fan interactivity than anything they've come up with in a while.

It was the Wrestling Observer that said Tensai was getting re-packaged. I wish they'd either do a better job of figuring out what gimmicks to give guys of, if they're going to give a Tensai-type gimmick, go all the way with him and not stop pushing him after only a few weeks. And they wonder why they can't make any new stars....

Jericho, apparently, is done with this current run -- if read a lot into what he says on Twitter.

  4. I actually praised TNA about a page back based on their last show, which I thought was a tremendous show until they unveiled Sting at the end. I still like Sting, but this does nothing for any good storyline. I was ready to mark out for Morrison. :)

I agree with the sentiment that if the E couldn't make Tensai work as a gimmick, they should have stuck with it simply because smarks were chanting for Albert. If they guy had an ounce of charisma, he could generate a ton of heat by playing into what the crowd is doing.

Isn't that what they're supposed to do, respond to the crowd's energy and response? Nah, the E knows best. We'll cheer for who we're told to cheer for, our opinions be damned.

But, I'm not worried about Tensai. Albert was always a bore and will always be a bore. God knows Brodus does nothing for me, but at least they found him a fun gimmick to highlight the guy's natural charm.

And I'm already sick of hearing about Big Show's turn called "the darkest moment in WWE history." Please. Show turns every six months. Oh, I don't know, maybe if Cena ever turned it could be called that.

I grew tired of hearing Cole and King calling Show's turn the darkest thing to ever happen. Whatever. Whoever is writing those lines needs to be fired or something.

They're merely repeating whatever they're being told in their ear to say. Not all of their bad lines are their fault. If you hear Lawler throw out a line like that, chances are he got fed it. He knows better.

I'm not so sure that applies to Cole. It's hard to believe he's so god damn horrible just because of McMahon in his ear.

Vince broadcasted for years, so he thinks he knows everything, and tends to be very tough on his announcers. JR and Styles both have commented about how difficult it can be to have Vince yelling in their ears.

Cole is horrible not just because of Vince in his ear. He'd be bad on his own.

Yeah, and Foley too. So maybe that is the case. Matt Stryker went from a guy who was pretty good, to a guy who was being mocked by Bill Simmons in his one annual Wrestlemania column, so maybe McMahon just wears the commentators down.

  12. As McMahon fades out and Trips/Stephanie take more control, one would hope if that would lessen. Somehow, with Steph being a chip off the old block, I doubt it.

Did anyone else see the trainwreck that was Impact live?
