I watched a shoot with Val Venis where Val said the Japanese guy got uncomfortably close with the sword during that segment.

So, anyone wanna bet AJ has been with D-Bry this whole time and this is nothing more than an elaborate plan to get him a title back after she "cost" him his at Mania?

I've got to admit, AJ is currently the most exciting Diva the company has had in years and I'm excited to see where they go with this, even though I know it will never live up to its potential.

That seems to makes too much sense, so it won't happen.

But I agree with you on A.J. She's carried the crazy chick angle almost as well as R-Truth has his crazy dude story line.

Yeah, it's far more likely that they'll reveal AJ has been working with John Laurenitis (sp*) the whole time instead and just wanted to cost Punk the belt and then we'll end up with a Punk-Show main event that goes nowhere for the next PPV instead of continuing what has been a fantastic angle with Punk and Bryan.

Take out Kane, and this angle could've been taken a couple more levels. But I guess he needed something to do, so they threw him in it.

I actually haven't minded having him in there. His singles matches with Punk and Bryan were great and that says a lot because I'm usually indifferent to Kane.

I just don't think his style meshes well with either of them.

I think the contrast is what makes it work, and plus, he's not dead weight in there. Kane can work.

Which is surprising, given his age.

I still remember being freaked out when he debuted the Kane character. (what can I say? I was a kid. I used to think wrestling was entirely real...)

SmackDown this week ... Punk/Sheamus vs. Bryan/Ziggler was a strong opening for the show ... then I skipped through a Divas snooze-fest, an Otunga/Funkasaurus segment ... then I fell alseep without seeing the end. Guess I'll have to watch it again.

They kept acknowledging that Punk has reigned as champion since November, so I'm guessing a title change is coming. Just enough time to put the title on someone for Punk to regain it at Summer Slam in a few months.

Yep. Have Bryan pin Kane to win the belt, then Punk claim he was never defeated. Then have a 60-minute Ironman match at SummerSlam.
