I just dont see Roode dropping the belt to Aries. Too many potential story lines about Aries giving up his x-division title and working hard to give it back. Unless they want to just let him be a top-tier star, but I think that weakens the x too much.

And I love the old horror references he throws out every now and then.

So ... what was the point of reviving The Great American Bash only to blow it on a mediocre SmackDown?

The only interesting part was, as usual, Punk/Bryan/AJ. But did they really need to insert Cole into this? Surely, the writers could have come up with something better than that. I really wish someone would future-endeavor Cole.

The WHC MitB match is filled with a bunch of folks I can't see winning the title ... until Rhodes got a spot. I really hope this is the beginning toward a first push toward world championship-dom.

I could see Ziggler winning the strap. Christian too. Heck, I could see them giving it to Tensai as a last-ditch effort to get him over.

But you're right. This should (and will hopefully be) Cody's chance to rise to the top. Don't be surprised if they add Orton or Barrett in the night of the PPV as a surprise.

I really really hope they have Ziggler win it. However, Cody would be fine as well.

  9. I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be Dolph and will result in his first run with the World Title. I'd be fine with Cody also but I just can't imagine it'll be anyone but Ziggler.

Also, is it strange that there are only four guys in the WWE title MITB match? I haven't been following since the MITB concept started so what's the usual number of competitors? I'd like to see a returning Orton and/or Mysterio in there as well.

One more thing: Has Miz been fired or suspended or something? He's nowhere to be found. I now they were burying him for a while there but it really sucks that he's gone.

There's usually six, and have been as many as eight or nine, IIRC, in the MITB match. Four is definitely a low number.
Not sure Orton's suspension is up, and Mysterio might still be hurt (seems like he's always hurt or suspended), so their return is questionable at best. Miz is, I believe, shooting the upcoming blockbuster movie "The Marine 3" so who knows if he's available. It would be a good spot for him to return and relaunch his character though, just by saying, "Hey, what about me?"

I may be wrong, but I think Orton said his suspension is up either tomorrow or next Monday.

So much for Aries not winning the title.
