Surprised they're going with this match now. Not because of the Cena factor, but because it pretty much eliminates any chance of an immediate cash-in by the MITB winner. Cuts out some of the drama at the end of the night.

I would accept Punk/Cena 3 next month, but I still see Cena going over in time for the 1,000th Raw. Especially if there's a new strap.

Another wrinkle: The Rock said something about coming back at the 1,000th RAW and gunning for the title.

Yeah, so he can defend it once every six months? Rock isn't coming back for any long-term run. Just talking out of his ass.

Fun fantasy booking time: For some strange reason, Rock makes a surprise return tonight, exploits the "past champion" catch to enter MITB and win the briefcase, cashes in at the 1,000th Raw and then drops the belt back to Punk or Cena at SummerSlam.
Even funner fantasy booking time: Repeat that paragraph, but substitute "Rock" with "Bob Backlund" :D

I'd buy that if Rock would do business with Punk.

Punk with a belly-to-back suplex from the top rope to put Bryan through a table ... for the win.

    And now, Ryback.

Phoenix gives Ryback a Goldberg chant ... by the way, a tagent:

Is The E going to keep blatantly piping in crowd response for taped SmackDown shows? Take last Friday, for example, when Zack Ryder opens the show to do his fist pump as the guest GM, notice the loud crowd response? Now, did you notice most of the people in the background sitting on their hands?
