Long-time lurker, first-time poster on this board. I was at Raw 1,000. Here's my blog on the night.

Oh and btw, I was brainstorming who the new GM could've been and I had a great thought that the WWE would never use of course.

I was hoping, in some way, that the new GM would've been Heyman. The board of directors gets Heyman to drop the lawsuits by giving him control over Raw with a no firing clause or something.

I guess I just need more Heyman on the tv, the guy tells stories like no one's business. The eyes, the facial expression, everything. He's such a good showman.

Now that's something I could get into.

Have Heyman make life a living hell for Trips and Steph, but I guess that would be considered abuse of power. The dude still has it, and I for one am glad they're letting him speak for Lesnar.

I wish they'd give him a bigger role in the show, but what he's doing right now is fine by me. He's like Punk and Jericho and Orton in that he's better as a heel.

For what it's worth, looking like Steve Austin underwent major knee surgery, and that's why he was MIA.

I'll accept 3 hours of Raw if it means a few matches get to go longer than 5 minutes. But if it's these constant Touts (which is nothing more than losers like us rattling off catchphrases), I can do without the extra hour. I skipped through most of that shit and missed absolutely nothing.

And I will beat this dead horse even more: the announce crew has got to get better. Lawler's delivery is cringe-worthy, not that he's given any great material, other than blabbing on about what's trending on Twitter.

The best announcing duo ever was Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura. I'd like to see them pair up again.

As for wrestling itself, give me the days when Flair and Steamboat went 54 minutes.

Vince could get very annoying at times. I'd rather have Gorilla and Heenan.

Gorilla and The Bod were pretty good too.

I liked them too. The funny thing was, Jesse never really heeled it up that much when he was with Gorilla. He more or less called it down the middle.

  10. I'll accept no arguments for the best announce team in WWE history that doesn't include The Brain. He was just the best.

    What Scribe said.

Also, apparently there is another report out there that Roddy Piper made several uncomfortable suggestions to DIVAS backstage at Raw 1,000.

He's really pissed that someone is "lying" about him. Dunno what's going on.

  12. Not for nothin, but lira looked pretty amazing Monday night.
