So is this actually happening or just some seriously premature speculation?

I don't think a match has been announced, but it appears that's where this is going.

Daniel Bryan is not getting buried! He may be temporarily moving down the card, but you aren't getting buried when you get the most airtime on the biggest show of the week.

He plays a good chicken heel. And if I had one complaint with the WWE writers, it'd be that they are *way* too quick on the trigger to job the chicken heels and embarrass them.

Exactly Rick. And that's a form of being buried.

I doubt Bryan will be "facing" Sheen anytime soon but I could definitely see him in a match at Summerslam where he sees Sheen in the audience, Sheen slaps him and he ends up embarrassed, goes in the ring and is hit with a finisher from someone to lose the match. (I'm thinking Kane).

I have no problem with what they're doing with him (I don't think they're burying him). I just don't find it very entertaining.

Maybe my description of it as burial was a bit much this soon. But I feel like they need to keep him close to the top of the card.

If Bryan is in a match with Kane, he better get ready for some no-selling. ;D

Like I said a while ago, I think it's more of a coincidence than anything else that Daniel Bryan isn't in the title picture right now. For the past six months or so, he's feuded with CM Punk and Seamus, so they're out as people to feud with. When there's a title change, I imagine Bryan gets back toward the top of the card.

Bryan's definitely going to feel the burn of the AJ GM story. He's not being buried.

SmackDown gets a new GM, and it's babyface Booker T, hamming it up with other faces and frustrating the heels. Yawn. At least we don't have to listen to him all night. Commentary is now down to Cole and Matthews, which isn't terrible.

Sheamus fought Albert, and The E is hell-bound to keep the Tensai schtick going. They went to split-screen for his promo, and I swear he did the whole thing in what must have been Japanese. Really?

The 6-man tag with Jericho/Kane/Christian vs. Ziggler/Bryan/Miz was a solid outing and the most enjoyable match of the night.

Orton returned to fight Del Rio, which of course ended in disqualification as Ricky Ricardo interferred. Naturally, The E is easing Orton back into the mix, probably not sure what to do with the guy after his second strike and afraid to push him too hard.

More stupid Touts were shown, as The E keeps trying to convince folks that Punk is a nasty heel just because he put The Dwayne to sleep and didn't save SuperCena. Yawn. Why can't it just be what it is? SuperCena is the face, Show is the heel, Punk is the tweener.

We got a better look at the new set, as The E managed to not set it on fire for Indanapolis. It just keeps getting bigger, to the point that sellouts should become easier as more seats are taken by the bigger set. Crazy to think that barely 10 years ago, it was a giant black curtain and one screen.

I only caught the very end of Smackdown. Why did Orton fight Del Rio when ADR just got done saying he wouldn't compete again until Summerslam?
