You think Lesnar really cares? He's getting paid either way ...

Interesting to see the tag titles are being defended at SS. How long ago did the Prime Time Players win the #1 Contenders spot? Like three months ago?

What a waste of a championship. We're lucky to see the belts get defended once a month now, if that.

Yeah, the tag teams get these long title reigns because nobody ever has to defend the belts (also see: Marella, Santino). I want to see the tag and IC titles defended at least twice per month (PPV, then one Raw or SD), and make the US title a TV title that goes on the line every week (or bring back the cruiserweight title for the same purpose...you'd be surprised how many guys now fall under the 225-pound limit). Hotshotting the US title 2 or 3 times per month can't devalue it any more than giving it to Santino Freaking Marella for God-knows-how-long.

I had completely forgotten that the U.S. Title even existed. I guess that goes to show how badly they've buried that title. Nowadays, the only championships that seem to get any sort of recognition are the WWE Title and the WHC, and rightfully so. But for god's sake, the WWE has all this younger talent, yet they have a complete lack of developed storylines or feuds outside of the upper-card guys.

Listen, if you do that, then you don't have 35 minutes for the 2002 feud of Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, or time for Cena to talk about how he's going to win for C-Nation.

I think they've done a decent job with the Intercontinental title...it looks great, people at least know it exists, and the current title holder and his immediate predecessor were former world champions. We'll get Miz vs. Mysterio for the strap at SS, which could be halfway decent.

To punish him for leaving in the first place and actually daring to be successful in a line of work outside the WWE.

Rock, at least, would always praise WWE after he left. Lesnar ripped on them a bit about their travel schedule and a few other things.

I would love it for someone to "punish" me with the kind of money Brock is likely making. VKM could bury me any time if the price is right.

Speaking of the U.S. title, Santino is nothing but a comedy routine -- to the point that THEY have almost forgotten he has the title.

I agree that with four titles, they should be making more story lines. Heck, why not make them all equal and call them by weight or something?

    Then I'll be the world's highest-paid jobber. [/brianpillman]

He'll probably lose it to Antonio Cesaro(well, he should). Antonio would make a great US Champion in my eyes. He has the look, he's a great wrestler, and not to bad on the microphone. Some might thing it's to early for him, but I say give it to him and let him run with it.
