I think they signed off at 10:02 (CST), which is actually kind of early. Nowadays, my cable guide even has the show ending at 10:05 in its listings.

  2. I find the guy boring, myself. I get it, he's foreign, he tapes his quads and he kisses Natasha from Rocky & Bullwinkle a lot. That's not enough to entertain me.

The guy is one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE. They're just wasting his talent, that's all.

I agree that he's talented. For y'all that don't know who he was before he got here, go YouTube (or whatever other video service you like) the name "Claudio Castagnoli" and you'll get him. The guy can go given the right circumstances.

I agree about the tag team division. I really wish they'd put more of an emphasis on it.

So do I, but the WWE seems to have an inability to be able to create more than 2 or 3 storylines at one time.

Not to mention, I remember seeing an interview with Road Warrior Animal in which he said most wrestlers don'twant to be in an established tag team because they then have to become too reliable on their partner. If their partner fucks up (as Hawk did a few times), then they get fucked too.

  9. I loved the tag team division when I was a kid. In fact, I remember thinking then that there were more legitimate title contenders in the tag division than in the WWF title picture. I'm sure part of that was a function of having less tag teams so pretty much all of them were in the mix but when they had LOD, Demolition, the Rockers, whatever team Mr. Fuji was trotting out at a given time, the Hart Foundation, the Nasty Boys, the Natural Disasters, the Steiners, etc. Really, the only team that seemed incapable of winning it was the Bushwhackers.

Then on the singles side, it was so Hogan centric that you figured it was pretty much just him with Macho Man, Flair, Sgt. Slaughter and Ultimate Warrior as the only other legit contenders.

Bushwhackers were a great heel tag team in their mid-Atlantic days. Interviewed them once, great guys.

Known as The Sheepherders (or Kiwi Sheepherders) back then. A hell of a heel tag team. Had an awesome feud with The Fantastics.

Of course, Vince turned them into a joke.

I bet you they made a ton more money as a joke than they ever did as heels in NWA.
