Summerslam - What a depressing show. I can understand them wanting longer title reigns, but what's the point if you're just going to have faces acting like a pussy despite a huge size advantage (Sheamus), a Triple Threat match with more ref shenanigans that ends about 60 seconds after the restart, and by the way, neither match is ending the show in favor of two guys who have wrestled maybe 10 matches between them in the past three years. Even though Triple H did the job, I'm glad the crowd booed him, since the WWE was so god damn heavy-handed in trying to elicit sympathy for him.

Ziggler vs. Jericho was a real nice match, but Cole is just insufferable on the microphone, in the annoying, "go away" way. He was acting like Jericho was some scrub by continuing to exaggerate the importance of the match, which 1) wasn't for a title shot and 2) wasn't some immense grudge match. Jericho is in his late-HBK phase right now, i.e. the "I'll make you look GREAT" jobber to the rising stars. Cole doesn't need to crow so much about how this breaks some losing streak at PPVs that nobody cares about.

The worst two matches to me were the tag team title and the WHC match, for different reasons. The tag team titles, I don't think anyone in the effing world thought Kofi and Truth were going to lose, not after AW got the boot without any acknowledgement on TV. The WWE should have just scrapped the match and shoehorned someone else in there. Heck, have Orton and Mystery Partner X challenge the two, that would have been more interesting.

The WHC match, who the eff wants to see those two wrestle ever again? The crowd seemed absolutely dead for that match to me. Alberto Del Rio has gone from intriguing a year or two ago to so boring to me since his return from injury. Also, AJ had no problems coming down to the ring in the same god damn show to fix a contested finish, yet Booker T doesn't? I realize it's wrestling, but still, be somewhat logically consistent at least in the same three hour show.

I like having longer title reigns, especially with the top two belts. At least it's not like two or three years ago -- maybe longer -- when the WWE title changed hands between Cena, Punk and another guy (Orton, I think ...) or two for a few months.

Given his gigantic ego, I'm still surprised Trips did the job. Again. This is two pay-per-view matches that he's lost back-to-back. Granted, we pretty much knew he wasn't beating Taker, but I really didn't think they'd let him lose to Lesnar.

It's almost as if they've decreased the heel Cole, but upped his annoying-ness by several thousand notches. I think they need to mix it up ... get someone else in the announce booth, and get rid of King and Cole. King has become a laughingstock, and Cole just plain sucks.

Agreed. The tag match was blah, expect for Kofi's flying cross-body on Titus on the outside. That was a pretty damn good spot.

As far as the WHC goes ... I like Sheamus, always have. But it's past time for him to drop the strap to Ziggler or someone else. He just bores me to death as a face, kind of in same vein as baby-face Orton. Those two should be nothing but heels, IMO.

And ADR has lost it. The dude came in and was the hottest thing going. But he's run out of steam to the point where I can't stand seeing him in the ring. He's good on the mic, but his in-ring skills have gone downhill. Maybe he can become the next great announcer or even a manager for someone, but I can't wait for the day when he stops wrestling.

And they try again to elicit sympathy for Trips with the Michaels segment. HBK looked pretty emotional at the end, which may have been legit, but the fans still were basically silent when they showed the hurt Trips on the screen.

Another tremendous match between Jericho and Ziggler.

Unless I missed something, Punk was supposed to announce who the number one contender is ... and he didn't.

What a fantastic promo from Cena. It's hard to emerge the victor in a war of words with CM Punk (Just ask Kevin Nash), but he did. Decisively.

The HBK promo would have been fine, except I don't believe for a second that Triple H is done in the ring.
