They didn't for Owen Hart, and they can't seem two-faced by doing it in Canada, with Bret Hart in attendance.

For the love of all that's holy, and I want Lawler to be OK, but I hope this isn't just some epic work.

I really don't think it is. All of the wrestling news sites, including ones that have been at it for years and years and would probably know it's a work, are reporting it as legit.

oh man. I saw something about this and figured it's a work.

Don't think the WWE would play around with something like this.

There's no way it's a work. It's so weirdly awful that you can't help but wonder when something like this happens.

Unless this is a sick way for The E to force people to turn on Punk ... and that would be damn disgusting. But I'd rather it be a work than to know Lawler died while performing on live tv.

Criticisms of his commentary aside, Lawler's an icon in wrestling. God speed to him.

The show is staying on, but there won't be any more commentary. Cole said he hopes they'll have an update before they go off the air.

He said Lawler got CPR and was breathing on his own when he went to the hospital.

I'm thinking this is totally legit. Cole looked like he was about to bawl.

If this is a work, I sincerely hope the WWE falls apart and turns into indy promotion that couldn't draw flies to crap. This would be truly be beyond low, even for them.

If that were the case, they would have done something during their match and not afterward.

Did he just have a match just before he had the heart attack?

Yeah, he's one of those guys that even if you don't like what he says on commentary, he's a legend and been one for the better part of 40 years. Hope he's OK.

He did have a match, including doing a drop kick and some fist drops.

This is surreal without commentary, and not just because of Lawler. I just hope they change things on the fly and end the show with a match instead of some sort of gloating promo from anyone.
