Cole just said his condition has stabilized and that King's breathing on his own.

If someone drops off camera it's not part of the show.Seriously.

I'm watching the show on DVR again, and in halfway through the Kane/Bryan vs. Primetime Players, you can see Lawler in the background, doubled over at the announcers' desk, grabbing his forehead while Cole goes silent. God, that's horrifying to see.

Also, CBS Sports has picked up on the story and is reporting. http://www.cbssports.com/general/blog/eye-on-sports/20142440/longtime-wrestler-jerry-the-king-lawler-transported-to-hospital-after-collapsing-during-broadcast

    Some points:

    1. King wrestled this weekend independently. He does that often, in addition to his WWE chores. WWE is going to catch a lot of flack for putting a 62-year-old guy into story lines. But this is his call, not theirs. He wants to do it.

    2. Cole handled himself incredibly well. I have no idea if he was following Vince's orders or not in all that chaos, but I agree with the decisions he made.

    3. Hate that Bret Hart had to be involved on a night like ... this.

I'm going to try to resist doing too much finger-pointing on that front right now, because it's so early and we have no idea what has happened or what will happen. But yeah, it does make me uncomfortable that they keep trotting people out there who have no business doing something like this.

Kind of agree with this. If guys like Lawler and Piper want to wrestle on their own time on the weekends, then fine, but I don't think the WWE needs to double down by having them in actual matches.

WWE.com reporting Lawler had a heart attack.

I don't think Lawler would do anything he was uncomfortable with, up to and including wrestling. I'm not saying he was wrong for agreeing to be involved in an angle or match or that WWE was wrong for using him. I just hope he's OK.

    Update from Stacy Carter:

Just got a @JerryLawler update. He had a stint & a balloon put in. Right now he is still heavily sedated.

Prayers go out to Jerry Lawler.

On another note: I'm young and I didn't see the heyday of pro wrestling in Birmingham/Memphis/Atlanta/Jacksonville, but if there has ever been a better monologue than what John Cena put out last night, I'd like to see it. That was one of the best moments in his career on the mic.

Gone are the days of Exotic Adrien Street and Dusty Rhodes, etc., but that was superb.
