  1. Except for the lipschitz line. "Which begs the question . . . if your lipschitz, what does your arse do?" I did laugh at that.

  2. Just my opinion, but Christian would be horrible in color commentary. For a guy who bills himself as Captain Charisma, he sure does lack, you know, charisma.

That was funny to hear. I know it's a dramatic understatment, but the WWE's humor can be very hit and miss.

I think he's good on the mic and in the ring, but the Captain Charisma stuff has always struck me as more him getting the rub from even better guys (Edge, Jericho), and because he has a real good intro video. Also, Christian almost always has a real good match with whoever he's paired with - He knows how to work and how to make someone look good, and he doesn't laid turds in the ring.

I was reading somewhere (can't find it now) that JBL was asked about going back to the announcing table at some point, and he said he only wanted one of two seats, both of which were occupied. Presuming he meant the Raw and Smackdown color seats, that might open the door for his return if he's still interested.

This is the perfect place to put a recently-retired wrestler with decent mic skills, but WWE doesn't really have many of them. Maybe Dustin Rhodes?

I still present Road Dogg as Exhibit A. Maybe even Arn Anderson.

I had Double A cross my mind a couple of times, too.

He's still a road agent, right? Therefore he wouldn't have to adjust his lifestyle to be traveling with the show.

JBL, Regal, Double A ... any of them could do well. Not sure Dustin Rhodes would work ... has he ever been on WWE TV not as Goldust? Not sure if he could overcome his stutter, either. ;)

Oh, and check out who Dustin Rhodes married in 2002: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dustin_Rhodes

JBL would be terrific as color commentator. In fact, he was terrific when he had that job the first time around. I have no idea why he would have left it he wanted to go back to that, but there you go. (His work reminded me of Ventura as color commentator---heelish but credible. Still the best they ever had).

Christian would be really good. Seems a quick witted guy who wouldn't mind putting other people over on commentary. Regal is also very good.

I remember thinking Road Dogg was terrible the one or two times they had him sit in on commentary back in the 90s. Maybe he was trying too hard to be in character, but he just kept doing lame voices and impressions that weren't funny. Don't think that would work. And as much as I like AA, I don't see him fitting in well there either.
Actually, another guy that would be good is Kevin Nash, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them go in that direction.

    LOL on the wife!

Around '97, he did a worked shoot interview with Ross on Raw where he talked about his character and such, and then at the end, told Terri he wanted a divorce. Then he started wearing some really bizarre outfits.

Oh, and my pick for to replace Lawler ... David Hart Smith. ;D
