I don't mean when he joined the nWo because he was already with them when he had his injury on Nitro. He came back a few months later, everyone was happy to see him come back from his real life injury, he forgave Rick Steiner, then Scott comes out to be the bad guy and ...

Huh. I don't really remember that.

I typed in "Buff joins nWo" in on google, and my link is what popped up.

Right, but I never said he joined the nWo. I said he tore off his shirt to reveal nWo colors. Everyone thought he was turning face after the injury, but instead he attacked Steiner and went confirmed his being a heel.

I remember that angle and I remember groaning when it happened. Just another reason why WCW went down the drain.

  5. Interesting you posted this link, because the first person I saw upon opening it was Larry Zbyszko. If he and Vince can get past the legal stuff, I think he would be really good as a King replacement until he gets back.

He would be good, but they'd never use him. For one thing, he hasn't been on TV in over 10 years and hasn't been in WWE for over 30. All the kiddies would be saying, "Larry Who?"

That, plus Larry is very good friends with Bruno, who hates Vince, and the whole thing where Larry no-showed some shows to get more money out of Vince Sr. (It's a long story, not as bad as it sounds, he tried to talk money and getting the belt on him from Backlund so he could drop it to Bruno at Shea, Vince Sr. said "forget the whole thing," and Larry Z. used that to claim Sr. fired him), and it's highly unlikely they would do anything with him.

As for the Buff Bagwell thing, that was a prime exhibit in WCW's overbooking. The simple thing would have been to keep Buff as a babyface after his injury. Instead, they had to pull a swerve, make the fans feel stupid for feeling sorry for him, and ended up ruining a great moment.
