The most coveted belt in wrestling is only in the main event if Cena is involved. It was cheapened long ago.

It's the sort of finish that would have been OK on Raw or Smackdown to get more interest in the PPV. Not in the main event of a PPV.

It's the type of finish where I could have seen Teddy Long, of all people, come out and order the ref to restart. Or, the type of finish that would have been fine in, oh, 1983.

Hell, if they wanted a draw, just have both guys go through the table or fall off the stage through a table and get counted out. Same result, more spectacular ending.

I was just surprised to see a German suplex, to be honest.

I just can't believe Punk put Cena in the Crossface. I've NEVER EVER EVER EVER seen that move before. Why didn't anyone ever use that as a finisher?

A throat slash would have been symbolic.

Didn't see the PPV, but reports say Cena-Punk was excellent. Yeah, the finish probably stunk, but the match ran almost 30 minutes and Cena had a bum ankle for most of it. I'll be interested to see Raw tonight.

How was JBL on commentary? Show any rust, or was he in top form from the get go? Heelish or neutral?

All these partial descriptions make little sense unless you had a feed. I didn't and I wasn't going to pay for another ppv after the crap they dished out last month. What exactly happened in the Cena-Punk finish?

German Superplex, both men's shoulders down and ref counts 3. Cena is celebrating and his music hits like he wins the title. However, the ref says double pin, therefore a draw and Punk keeps the title. He then hits Cena with a belt shot.

From what I caught, didn't show much rust at all. He was heelish, but not over-the-top Michael Cole heelish.

Speaking of Cole, he played it straight down the middle ... as expected.

thanks. So once again we're in a Punk-Cena rematch orbit. To hell with Orton, I figure they're thinking. I guess Kingston and R-Truth (who I really like) has no chance in hell of a title shot. Since Punk is a heel, this eliminates another heel like Damien Sandow. The major belts simply have too few characters in the mix.

I think they're too scared to do much with Orton for fear he'll get a third strike and be out. Same with Mysterio.
