I'm fine with WWE showing the photo. An entire arena saw the whole thing go down.

And the interview was well done. Just a way for Lawler to thank the fans for their support, thoughts and prayers, and to actually see he's on the mend. On the whole, I think the WWE has done a good job with this whole thing, from the way Cole handled it that night to their updates on Lawler's condition the past two weeks, to dropping any pretense of kayfabe and treating this like the serious situation it is.

I'll be honest, though. Given the WWE's history with live interviews from wrestlers' homes, part of me was expecting Brock Lesnar to break into Lawler's house and beat him within an inch of his life. ;D

Maybe it's just me -- and I'm sure it is just me -- but I'm intrigued by a three-way super heavyweight feud between Tensai, Clay and Big Show. It won't be Punk-Cena in the ring by any means, but it's got some potential as a fun, quickie big man feud that hasn't been done in a while.

Maybe, when we get the eventual three-way match, the ring will implode. Which, of course, we've never seen before.*

And a random Ryback sighting. I hear he won't sell in a match, but he'll sell some cheap sandwiches.

    That was a good ending.

And now with Ryback apparently in the main event picture, I'm intrigued.

  8. I know I'm the biggest Kofi fan on here but he and Dolph has a really good match. Would still like Kofi to get worked into the big picture somehow despite his shortcomings on the mic.

I was going to comment on this but got sidetracked with MNF. The Kofi-Ziggler match was one of the best matches I've seen this year. I know it's a match that meant next-to-nothing and had some seriously pathetic build up (A Twitter feud?) but these two guys were phenomenal.

Ziggler has proven time and again that may well be the company's top wrestler. If he's not No. 1, he's top-three for sure. And Kofi looked fantastic as well. I know building a program with these two would be futile because Kingston's so bad on the mic but, man, I would love to see another battle between these guys.

A quick thought about Kingston and Ziggler, especially now that they seem to be somewhat involved with each other: Why not just align them together with Punk and Heyman?

It would provide Punk with a stable to hide behind and a little more muscle until he wrestles Rock at the Royal Rumble. It would allow Ziggler to end his stale relationship with Vickie Guerrero and stand more on his own merits. It would afford Guerrero the opportunity to go off on some other story, perhaps something with AJ Lee. It would give Kingston a fresh heel vibe and, most important for him, someone (or three) to talk for him.

    Thoughts?

(Or will the bookers just wait for Lesnar to come back and protect Punk and/or interfere with Punk-Rock so he gets a WrestleMania match against Rock for the belt?)

EDIT: For the record, I am a proponent for a Punk-Heyman stable, no matter who is involved. Hope to see it some time in the next month or so.

The thing is, with their size, they really can't be seen as "the muscle", unlike Lesnar.

I could see Ziggler joining with Punk, Lesnar, and a fourth guy (Orton perhaps) for a great stable.
