I don't know that you can say Brodus's push has ended, primarily because he hasn't really been pushed in the traditional sense. Sure, he wins most of the matches that he's in, but he rarely punches outside the midcard, and when he does (Big Show, Cesaro), he loses. He's promoted but not necessarily pushed, and now he'll probably join Santino and Zach Ryder in fighting The Three-Man Job Band. They should bring up Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed in TNA) from developmental and pair him with Brodus, since he has a similar gimmick, and tag teams are suddenly a thing again.

As for Punk, this is exactly what someone said would happen (hell, it might have been me): He's doing a very good job playing a very ordinary heel character, all the way down to the requisite bullying of JR in Oklahoma. That in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing, especially since he pulls it off so very well. But given his history and his association with Heyman, he could have been a special character, a more heel-oriented version of the pipe bomb layer from last summer. Instead, he ends up being a grungy Robert Roode. It's not bad, it's just a terrible letdown.

Why did they break up Cesaro and Aksana? They seemed like a good couple. And Aksana is not hard on the eyes.

Good news from the last batch of NXT tapings: He's not wrestling yet, but Bray Wyatt is back on TV. I'm not exaggerating when I say that's the best character WWE has come up with in YEARS

Oh and you forgot about Santino's failed kip up.

AND WTF is the connection between Slater, McIntyre and the other guy (can't remember his name). Are they forming a United Nations stable?

This Kane and Bryan combo is hilarious. Those therapy scenes in the Denny's were hysterical. Bryan did a hell of a job gagging.

I have to admit it's something they really have struck comedy gold with. Bryan is a great all-around wrestler (both technically and outside the ring) and Kane is pretty good for a big man in the ring, while being underrated comedy-wise (witness the video I posted the other day).

Watching last week's RAW. Sandow-Sheamus was a good match and I'm glad they didn't totally embarass JR during his "appreciation" segment.
I think the Punk-Ryback thing is for down the line, and they way they're building it is pretty good, even if the matches aren't going to be ***** classics. I even thought Ricardo was sort of funny on commentary.

P.S. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo remind me of the matador from the Bugs Bunny cartoon. Judge for yourself.....

    JBL is on fire already:

Referring to one of the Colons: "Son of Carlos Colon, 22-time Puerto Rican champion, who owes me and a lot of other people money."

The discussion about the Funkadactyls and Brodus Clay was great, too. Included references to Michael Hayes, the Bay City Rollers and Flash Funk.

If they kept JBL and Jim Ross in the booth permanently, I don't think anybody would ever complain again.

Vince is wrestling C.M. Punk. Well, I know it's booking on the fly (and they changed head writers this afternoon, replacing a guy who'd been there for 10+ years), but they certainly have got me wanting to see what happens.

They're about a year too late with that match.

Probably so. But after last week's record-low rating, Vince is willing to do anything to try and get things moving back in a good direction. So, he's hot-shotting himself into the Raw main event slot. I read on Figure Four Daily this afternoon that the word backstage is Vince has basically said, "I want results or I want resignations."
