Uh, oh. It's Miz's birthday. Somebody's getting a cake to the face.

  2. Hide your wives, Sacramento. It's Larry King!

Might as well make King take a bump. That's what we do with old guys.

I'm disappointed that nobody got the cake to the face. I figured Miz would.

Anyone else notice a Gallagher sighting? Or am I hallucinating again?

Hope this Vince-Punk thing is at least somewhat compelling. I have to be up early in the morning and should be in bed. Would hate to lose some valuable sleep over it.

Huh, that was actually pretty good.

They really are pushing Skip to the freaking moon.

Or is all this just smoke and mirrors?

Even Goldberg 1.0 wasn't pushed this fast.

I agree. Actually worth staying up for. Got to give Vince credit for giving a good performance and getting his butt kicked. I'll be interested to see whether Ryback or Cena gets the shot at Hell in a a Cell. I guess this is their insurance policy in case Cena's not healthy in time.

Did it seem like Punk was really assaulted when he went into the crowd?

Too bad they already used up Cena's MITB cash-in. Would've created some drama if Punk chose Ryback, but Cena was lurking outside the Cell the whole time with the briefcase.
Of course, if you follow the ratings and backstage stuff, there is still some drama. If Vince is melting down the way reports indicate, it wouldn't surprise me to see them put the belt back on Cena. If they're truly committed to the long term and the Punk-Rock-Cena shuffle next spring, then they go with Ryback and have Punk beat him. In any scenario, I can't see a way that Ryback beats Punk right now.
