The kick, or the previous sequence?
The finisher sequence might have been designed, but it looked clumsy. Not even overly choreographed clumsy. Just clumsy, as in it looked like they couldn't get the right grips on each other for what they were trying to do.
The kick, especially when they slowed it down, was just brutal. It might have been on both guys, since Miz getting his guard up a split-second late makes the difference between blunting the shot and taking it full force, but if it was a work then it was a damn good one. Miz got hammered with that kick.

More than likely, Miz took a good, legitimate shot, was dazed, and WWE is playing it up. So it's probably a worked shoot, like ucacam suggested.

Not having seen it, but knowing how WWE is about injuries, this is the most likely option right here. I know you're not supposed to work light and have it wind up looking really fake, but you do need to try and take care of each other.

Wow. That was a pretty stiff kick right there.

Kofi and Miz had a nice little 25 minute match on WWE Main Event.

I haven't watched this show yet, but have read some reviews and it sounds like an interesting concept. Basically two matches -- one true main event and one jobber/midcard match. I like the way they've built up to it during the other shows, and from the reviews it seems like they go all-out with the match itself. They're giving the main event a good 20-25 minutes, letting the guys have a spotlight, and wrapping around it with some preview vignettes and postmatch interviews.
If nothing else, it's a different take on the standard WWE show.

Lots of commercial breaks, so best watched with DVR or YouTube. But yes, every week so far has been good. Focus is on the matches and any out-of-ring promo work is usually taped. Sort of reminds me of what Raw was at the very beginning.

    Pretty damn awesome.

  9. It's how things should go down. He wasn't interested in kicking the guys ass, just subduing him until they could ship his ass off the train. Which they did. Well handled.

And I loved the news description of the guy losing control of his bladder. :)

    1) Choke holds are really fucking dangerous. Hope he was prepared for the consequences if the man had died.

    2) The part where he stands up and takes his jacket off is pure badass.

I liked the jacket thing, too. Straight out of a movie.

Point taken on 1), but I think guys in Daivari's line of work are trained from the beginning to put on holds that will subdue someone and look like they hurt, but actually don't. If any group of people know how to put on a "choke" hold that doesn't actually choke, it's pro wrestlers.
