Corey Hart is a great pick-up. Much better player than a lot of guys who make more money.

Colon or Kazmir, who will be better in '14 &'15? I'm saying Colon.

Wasn't that his walkup music at one point?
Or am I misremembering and only wishing it so?

Thoughts on no more collisions at the plate?

An old fart like myself hates the new rule.

I'm an old fart and I don't mind at all.

Long overdue. I don't think anyone, even old farts, will miss it by the end of the year.

Was baseball more fun/exciting/interesting because Buster Posey needlessly missed 100 games one season? Not at all.

What's the deal with batting helmets? Ted Williams sure didn't need one.

Someone on Twitter said banning home plate collisions is the furthering of making sports soft because he played on a field covered in broken glass as a kid.

Independent of the player safety considerations, the whole collision-at-the-plate thing always struck me as a discordant note. It never seemed to fit the game.
