Or no one told the Rangers participation in the Rule 5 draft is not mandatory?

Maybe they're planning ahead for the one-year suspension that every Seahawk will eventually serve.

Do you think anyone could play both anymore, the way Deion Sanders or Bo Jackson did? I think the time demands are just too great for anyone to play more than one sport at the professional level.

Wilson's inability to play both sports has nothing to do with time constraints, but that he hit .228 in his last minor-league season.

They did just assure themselves that JayZ would never, ever come back to Seattle. Which is good and worth 9 figures to the city.
Now if they can only figure a way to keep Kanye out

I think that teams have too much money invested in players to let them do it nowadays. Jeff Samardzija was a guy who was a potential first-round pick in both sports, and the Cubs gave him the farm but with the caveat that he not play football any more.

Fair enough. I was really just making a joke.

Omar Infante to the Royals. 4 years, $30 million:

Last year the Yankees were outbid for a player they wanted by the Pirates, this year by KC. It's a new world out there.

I think it was more the years than the money with Infante. The Yankees didn't want to go to a fourth year.

I would think it'd have to be something like a baseball player who is also a kicker or a punter, or something like that. Or to be an athlete like a baseball or football player, but play in some pro golf tournaments in their offseason.
