Tas Melas from the Starters has been calling the 76ers breaking the streak tonight against the Pistons for about a month now. We shall see.

The Suns are just scorching right now, and they got a break from Memphis not being able to hold on at the Roaracle last night. That race for the No. 8 in the West is intense. Such a shame that someone isn't going to get in and the dog-ass Atlanta Hawks are going to cruise in at 10 games below .500.

Yup. Right now ninth place in the West would be a third seed in the East.

Of those bottom 5 teams, which ones do we think have the best chance of making noise and making a run to the Western Conference Final? Memphis and Golden State would be my 1 and 2 and there'd be a pretty big gap between them and number 3. Also, while I'm sure they'd all love to just get in, they probably also all want to avoid the 8th seed because the Spurs are a buzzsaw at the moment.

Speaking as a Suns fan, just making it back to the postseason would be huge. I'm not expecting anything other than a first-round exit, but it would be fun to have a horse in the race. Still would be surprised if it wasn't some combination of Spurs-Clippers/Thunder in the WCF. Rockets seem to lack something ... Blazers are falling apart. GSW just aren't consistent enough to win multiple playoff series. Memphis probably can't score enough.

The Rockets especially lack something now that Beverley went down with an injury. That hurts them a lot.

They're done without Beverley. He is a pest like Bruce Bowen was.

Sixers pushing out to a 17-point lead over the Pistons with a couple minutes left in the first half.

That's what Leigh Ellis calls a very solid prediction. Two thumbs up.

Four minutes into the third quarter, the Warriors are beating the Kings 70-29.

It's halftime AT Indiana, and the Hawks are leading 55-23. It seems like this might be rock bottom.
