I tried to use League pass last night and it wouldn't let me, which I thought was weird since it's usually free for the first week.

Online or on the TV? I watched the Suns on DirecTV last night.

TV. FIOS. Which may be the problem. Is it free on all cable providers, or just DirecTV? When I had DirecTV, I got the free trial every year.

Maybe it is just DirecTV. I couldn't tell you. I think I remember getting it free when I had Dish. Not sure about cable.

Did something change with Sirius and the NBA? I haven't been able to hear any games yet.

FIOS does offer the free trial. It was simply user error. Shocker.

In addition, they've got legitimate bigs, Lee and Bogut, not a bunch of munchkins playing small ball when it was Run TMC. The best of both worlds. A fun to watch team with a legitimate chance to be really good. As big a fan as I am of the W's; I've seen Klay go off before, hopefully the consistency is there this year.

It's early, I know. But our two biggest contenders for the tanking title -- Philly and Phoenix -- are both 2-0.

Watched the second half of Suns-Jazz last night. If Miles Plumlee ever learned how to finish, he could be a monster. Had a nice line -- 13 pts, 13 reb -- but he missed at least five bunnies. Bledsoe scored the final 14 points for Phoenix. Wild. Won't last, but maybe this team will at least be interesting to watch.

I hope everyone learned a lesson last night. The Wizards should NEVER, EVER be 9-point favorites over anyone. I'm guessing Vegas won't make that mistake again.

Same old Wizards? I know Nene sat with an injury, but man. They stink.

Trying to evaluate a draft before the college season even starts is really pointless. There's still a whole season for freshmen and sophomores no one's heard of to make a huge splash. Eleven years ago at this point, Dwayne Wade needed to improve on his jumper to maybe be a second-round pick.

embarrassing confession: though I pay reasonable attention to college basketball, especially the original BIG EAST and NCAA tourney, i'd NEVER heard of this Michael carter Williams fellow until a few days ago. where the eff did this dude come from? it's like he dropped out of the sky. was there anything noteworthy about him in college and I just whiffed on it? ??? ??? ???

Same with Victor Oladipo a year ago.
