Game should take about four hours given the amount of time spent shovelling snow.
It's too bad a hugely important game for both teams is a circus.

Great atmosphere, but probably hard to really see too much of the action because the seats are so far away.

Wait for when the ice is melting later this month at Dodger Stadium.

I like the minor hockey vibe of the coaches wearing hockey jackets behind the bench. All they are missing is a Tim Hortons coffee in one hand, lineup in the other and the dressing room key in their pocket.

So I guess you can have live music during a snowstorm. I always wondered how snow would affect a Super Bowl halftime show.

So in watching the game, was it just me or were there louder cheers for the Maple Leafs in the Big House than for the Redwings?

I think Leaf fans outnumbered Detroit fans.

Reports varied on how many tickets had been sold to Leaf fans, anywhere from 50-60,000. My Facebook feed was loaded with people who were going to the game. Certainly no shortage of Wings fans there - and the shots of the place seeming to be divided between red and blue were pretty cool - maybe the Leaf fans were drunker and made more noise.

As Winter Classics go, I thought this was one of the better ones.

Reports here in Toronto that Maple Leaf Sports is working to get a Winter Classic here for 2017. They just wish they had a 100,000+-seat venue to hold it in, they'd have no trouble selling tickets.

I know Minnesota wants to do an outdoor game, so does Washington. It's nice they spread them around, although six in one year seems a bit much.
