Kypreos likes to go on about how people who disagree with him "never played the game." Two things, Kipper:

    a) You never went to journalism school either, but it doesn't stop you from working in the media and pretending to know how it works.
    b) No, I never skated in the NHL. But I'm pretty sure I could bleed out while taking a nap on the ice at Madison Square Garden just as well as you did it.

And USA Hockey can spare us the huffing and puffing about how no reporter will ever get that kind of access again. Since it was almost completely unexpected that anyone would have that kind of access this time around, I think we'll survive.

Goodness, everything has to be a high drama show with these people. Just name the bleepin' team, guys.

The comment about Kypreos's career ending in a fight is offside, but I agree with the rest. When the highlight of your journalism career is a softball interview with the loathsome Mike Danton, you shouldn't be telling other journalists how to do their job.

Crazy to think that in the sake of the Rogers deal with the NHL that Kypreos's name has come up as a possible replacement one day for Cherry. I was hoping Kypreos would be on of those guys on the outside looking in.

Anyone catch the end of the Sweden/Russia game? Intense finish topped by a brawl. Be interesting to see if disciplinary action affects Sweden for the Gold medal game.

Fantastic game, best I have seen in the tourney to date. That Swede has to get shit for jumping the Russian, took a pretty good right from the Commie too.

Tight first period between Canada and Finland. Canada sloppy's play may bite them in the ass but I'm sure Sutter will clean up that crap between periods.

Best GAA of the tourney so far? Finn goalie, of course.

    3-1 Finland after two.

Canucks have been undisciplined (two misconducts), sloppy and Ducale has been a little iffy in net

Canucks seem really slow and uninspired, they would have been run out of the rink playing that way against the Swedes or Russians.

Good thing they left those risky players at home. Who needs more scoring. Team USA take note.
