John Brophy would have lit a fire under their asses.

Bravo, Huggy. I assume Broph is still coaching somewhere? ;D

I'm happy Benn made Team Canada. Bergeron, too, as someone in the middle has to know his role is defense. Anyone else surprised Seabrook didn't make it (or did I miss his name on the list?) Tough job picking that squad.

11 I believe. 2-8-1 off the top of my head.

Yeah, certainly lot of good players to pick from on defence. Seven d-men is about all you have, or need, baring injury.

I still think the biggest question mark with Canada is goaltending. But maybe one of the guys will get hot. It's a short tournament.

I was a little shocked there was no Alex Steen.

Maybe Steen will play for Sweden. Plus, I know he's been injured of late, not sure how serious.

Speaking of injuries, Jonathan Quick coming back anytime soon?

Good story on Martin St Louis left off the Canadian team. For the life of me I don't know why but this may be a serious problem for Yzerman as GM of Tampa

St. Louis is a proud man. He desperately wanted to play for Canada in next month’s Olympics. Now you have to wonder just how badly he wants to play for the Lightning.

Can someone here from Canada tell me why he was left off? I don't get it

I can see the argument for him, as well as about a dozen other guys. Just lots of good players and not enough roster spots. I don't take it as a slap against him.

I don't either. It's fucking ridiculous that Martin St. Louis isn't going to the Olympics for Canada, but Rick Nash is.
