If anyone had a soft spot for St. Louis, wouldn't it figure to be Yzerman?

Perhaps, but keep in mind Yzerman's only been in charge of the Lightning since 2010. Maybe at the end of the day St. Louis is just another player to Stevie Y.

For hockey guys Nash has been the ultimate tease since the day he entered the NHL. He has physical gifts St. Louis can only dream of, the only problem is most of the time he plays like he doesn't give a fuck. But I am sure Yzerman and his group sat in those meetings and said any time his name comes up, "If he ever gets it together, look out..."

Courtesy of capgeek, the following are players who have made more money than Wayne Gretzky:

    Ziggy Palffy
    Shawn Horcoff
    Sheldon Souray
    Bryan McCabe
    Thomas Vanek

Probably. My thought is Yzerman's had the chance to see St. Louis up close as much as anyone.

There is some degree of unfairness to it. Some countries just have more depth than others.

I do wonder why Canada can't send two teams. A country can have multiple entrants in many other sports.

Claude Noel out in Winnipeg. Paul Maurice in.

Noel will move into Maurice's spot on TSN.

Leafs beat the Bruins in Boston tonight so there is still hope. Not much, but enough to keep on watching. Tied with the Rangers for the last playoff spot.

And there was a good hit by Boychuk on JVR, aka Dutchboy

Shawn Thornton was so offended by that hit, he mugged Boychuk in the dressing room.

Dubnyk to the Predators and Scrivens to the Oilers as two upcoming UFAs are moved.

Vladislav Tretiak in his prime would look like suck behind Edmonton's defense.
