Actually, everybody hates Pierre so he's nothing like Vitale.

Canada should get a national holiday to celebrate the day McGuire left TSN.

I had seen some mention in the paper the other day that Paul Romanuk might be returning from Europe to join the Rogers NHL crew. He was always great on TSN's hockey coverage way back in the day.

Met McGuire once and he was as annoying in person as he is on TV.

Some heart warming news for once.

St. Louis Blues forward Jaden Schwartz lost his sister Mandi to leukemia a couple of years ago, she was a star with Yale's hockey team. Yale is holding a White out for Mandi game this weekend. It is the third such game they have held for her, but Jaden has never been able to attend one. Finally the schedule worked out where he could go this time as the Blues are int hr New York area on a road trip and happen to have an off day. A couple teammates were planning to go with Jaden, but word about it spread through the locker room and now the whole team on their off day decides to go with Jaden to Yale for the game as a show of support.

    Love it.

Great story. From reading the Post-Dispatch story on it, Schwartz quietly went to the GM and mentioned it, asking if he and a couple of buddies from the team could make the side trip up there. And then word came back that the whole team was going, was going to have a practice there open to the public and stay for part of the game. And all this on the end of a decent-sized East Coast road trip.

    Very classy move.

Well, it was nice of Wayne Gretzky to make an appearance at the Ducks-Kings game at Dodger Stadium. Man, some of those seats are so far from the ice the fans might need a telescope instead of binoculars.

I understand why the NHL does these games where they do, but, man, this is true Hollywood.

If they are going to configure rinks this way in the baseball stadium, they should put temporary bleachers in the outfield to move some of the seating closer to the action.

Eye black on hockey players works for me.

Watched a bit of the first period, interesting spectacle but an outdoor game isn't the same without the possibility of some weather hassles.

With today's game, Yankee Stadium will have hosted baseball, football and hockey games within a six months span. NBA, anyone?

Love Paul Romanunk's PBP and every year he called games in The Spengler Cup,what seems to be a professional version of a kid's hockey tournament.

    Go to Davos.

Take wife and family or g/f.

    Play some hockey.

Meet at bar, restaurant or hospitality room for drinks, food, drinks.

Maybe it's just me, but it was annoying for the NBC guys Sunday to mention over and over all the greats that played in "this" stadium.
