2013-14 NHL Season

Pretty much par for the course for the Oilers this year, hanging their goalie out to dry. Their defence is the worst in the league. They're just terrible. It's not just their blue-line, but their team defence and back checking by forwards.

Young, yes, but on the rise. Lehtonen is good but Miller would be an upgrade. Nill will probably be conservative on any package to Buffalo, though.

    Lindbergh's death predated Hextall.

Yeah, Liut, but I suspect Dallas is looking 2-3 years down the road, given the guys they traded away in the past year. Some of their young players show some promise and I wouldn't mess with that for the sake of adding a high-priced veteran on a team that's probably a first-round appearance, at best, this season.

My hunch is Miller may wind up with the Washington Capitals.

If Hiller leaves the Ducks the only place he's going is Switzerland. Murray has made it clear that Hiller will not be on the block. That means of course he will be :)

The organizational depth both the SoCal teams seem to amass at the goaltending position is impressive.

I'm impressed with Hiller as well as Anaheim's defence overall. It's puzzling why they haven't done better in the playoffs since they won the Cup in 2007. I'd be shocked if they traded Hiller. He's still pretty young, too.

I read it as "No way in hell Hiller is traded" .... THIS SEASON.
Offseason will be interesting, and a lot depends on how the playoffs go.

Hiller's a UFA after this season.

Leafs come back from 2-0 to beat Sens 6-3 including an empty netter

Kessel has a hat trick---that's 23 points in the last 12 games. Double J's favourite guy Chris Neil has two goals and an assist.

Leafs are on another roll. Down to Florida to start 4 games before the Olympic break

Rather than the second goal, I was hoping Neiler would get the fight for the Gordie Howe Hat Trick. Denied. :(

I love how the Gordie Howe Hat Trick has become an urban legend. Gordie only had two but it's still a great honour.

And yeah, I'm not a Sens fan but since Neil's a good SW Ontario boy (Markdale or Shelburne?) I was hoping the same thing
