So the outdoor game in Vancouver will actually be an indoor game. Roof is closed at BC Place due to the weather.

There's no point in having a stadium game if it's basically just an oversized arena. The thing that makes the outdoor games unique is the elements, like the game in Chicago last night.

Love the Canucks' uniform tribute to the Vancouver Millionaires.

Glad to know someone is old enough to remember the Millionaires. For those of us who are not, they sort of looked like Austria from the post-WWII era.

JR is the only person here old enough to remember the Millionaires. He cheered for them all through the 1910s and '20s.

I am partial to the yellow, red and black sweaters they wore in the 1982 Cup Final against the Islanders. When I saw those for the first time, I thought: "Wow, that's kind of neat".

Uh, you forgot I played for the Ottawa Senators against the Vancouver Millionaires in the 1915 Stanley Cup. I was the rover :)

Sounds like it. Renaud Lavoie in Montreal reported (at least tweeted) that Lafontaine wanted to extend Miller, and when the trade was finalized, it was the last straw for Lafontaine's days in Buffalo.

I'll be stunned if the Sabres don't flip Halak for more picks/prospects here in the next day or two. If they go into a full rebuilding mode, it may take a couple of years, but they could set themselves up nicely here to put together a nice foundation.

Then Lafontaine is an idiot because that was a great deal for the Sabres

Any number of goaltenders might be Wild by Wednesday afternoon.

Insofar as Halak is concerned, it's unfortunate St. Louis fans hardly ever saw him in post-season play. Guy was almost always injured.

Yeah, they have to make some sort of move in goal, I would think.
