Anyone else watch Buffalo-Dallas last night? Enroth was outstanding, several spectacular saves. Naturally, the Sabres lost.

Congrats to Lindy Ruff for his 600th career win and escaping without knowing it the chaos that was to become the Buffalo Sabres. Some of the Buffalo News' coverage is very enlightening.

Goalie carousel is absolutely fascinating right now.

*Minnesota adds Bryz (Over Broduer, perhaps Thomas, and Halak)
*Vancouer sends Luongo to Florida, presumably rolling with Eddie Lack forever and having dealt BOTH Schneider and Lou in nine months
    *Anaheim sends Fasth to Edmonton
*St. Louis gets Miller, Halak staying in Buffalo and not getting flipped elsewhere?
*Brodeur stays in NJ and keeps clogging up Schneider's net?

Yeah, a Brodeur trade seems to make sense. The Devils need scoring and Schneider can use the extra minutes. Wonder if the Capitals or Flyers have an interest, or if the Devils would trade with someone in their own division.

Luongo to Florida doesn't make sense to me from the standpoint of either team.

I like Bryzgalov for Minnesota. Significant upgrade assuming Harding doesn't come back. Does anyone know if Bryzgalov is unrestricted at the end of the season?

I'm betting Miller re-signs with St. Louis.

    What makes Bryzgalov an upgrade?

    I'd call it a downgrade. :)

St. Louis to the Rangers for Callahan. Opinions?

Martin St. Louis to the Rangers for Ryan Callahan, a first-round draft choice and a conditional second rounder. I believe the first rounder is for 2015; the second for this summer and upgrades to first round if New York makes the ECF.

Steve Simmons on MSL: the pouting baby gets his wish.

Love watching James Duffy and Brian Burke on television.

Hell of a deal if you're Yzerman. If you're Sather, it's more proof that your best-before date as a GM was one day before Mark Messier left Edmonton.

    And Simmons can fuck off.

I'm with you on the trade, Double J.

I don't know how far off the mark Simmons is with this particular take, though. St. Louis apparently got all bent out of shape with Stevie Y. for being left off Team Canada. It was widely reported that Yzerman conferred heavily with his assistant GMs and the coaching staff on the final roster spots. Then, they bring him aboard when a spot opens up. For all I know, which is nothing, MSL is still ticked Babcock benched him against Team USA.

I certainly don't question MSL's talent and he brings speed to the Rangers upfront but I do question where his head is.

Apparently, Tim Thomas is headed to Dallas in exchange for Dan Ellis. Looks like Marian Gaborik moves to L.A.

It appears Moulson and Vanek have been dealt at the deadline of the deadline.

Add: Moulson to the Wild; Vanek to the Habs.
