It's not, and you're still an idiot.

Sort of surprised Colorado didn't make a move. They're only three points behind St. Louis in the Central Division. Tons of great young talent up front, but needing a defenseman. Maybe there just wasn't one there and I can't blame them for not wanting to give up one of the young forwards (Duchene, Stastny, Landeskog, MacKinnon, O'Reilly, etc.).

I guess Simmons never got passed over for a promotion or for a job that, rightly or wrongly, he'd figured he'd earned.

If St. Louis vented or even threw a fit, it's a reaction similar to that of a lot of people in similar circumstances. He's not only the league's defending scoring champion, he carried Yzerman's team offensively after Stamkos went down. He and Ben Bishop are the only reasons why the Lightning are in a wild-card position.

But not only did he not deny that he was upset, which is pretty admirable given the criticism he must have known he would face by letting the world know it, he actually went out and picked up his game even more. A lot of us might have gone the Bobby Ryan route and pulled the chute at that point, but St. Louis didn't.

If he wasn't quick to forgive and forget even after going to Sochi and winning gold after all, who could reasonably blame him? He's entitled to his feelings and to that reaction.

And if we felt disrespected at our workplace and had another option available to us, you're damned right we would want to take it. Who wouldn't? That's what St. Louis has done, and more power to him. So for a guy like Simmons to sit there and say he's a pouting baby, well, fuck him.

Simmons is the worst columnist in the country, an absolute joke.

If I had the time to dig up Simmons' column the day after he falsely reported Curtis Joseph needed knee surgery (or something similar), I would. Just to underline how ridiculous it is for him to call anybody a baby.

When Simmons and Cox were on TSN's sports show The Reporters on Sunday morning, Simmons would start talking absolute fucking nonsense.

Every so often I thought it was all Cox could do from getting up and punching Simmons in the face.

I know you like Cox but I put him one step behind Simmons.
