Wasn't sure where else to put this. Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested overnight for felony drug possession:

Odd that all three were released without bail or being charged.

    Very odd.

But the scoreboard now reads two drug arrests in two years since going to college. And both are/were seeming to be played off as him getting caught up with the wrong crowd. Maybe HE is the wrong crowd ...

Never would have pictured Springfield as a hub of drug activity either.

    Really?

Missouri is the meth capital of America. And lots of pot too.

And I think Interstate 44 that runs through Springfield is a pretty busy pipeline for anything illicit to get where it needs to go. Would seem to provide pretty easy access.

Springfield isn't far from Winter's Bone territory.

Here's an idea: If you're rolling around with a pound of weed, don't have expired tags

Yep, it's in the dealer's manual in the glove compartment.

Found Dave Matter's Tweets on it interesting. He's covering the Mizzou basketball team playing at Auburn, works for the Post-Dispatch in St. Louis, but has the contacts and insight on an arrest 200-whatever miles away in Springfield to say this ...

"Sounds like Green-Beckham might have been riding with wrong crowd. Could avoid criminal charges. Stay tuned. Unsure if answer comes today."

Sounds to me like he's interested in carrying the water for Mizzou and the Green-Beckham family. Saying that after a second drug arrest, when there's felony distribution charges being pursued and a pound of marijuana and paraphernalia found in the car he was riding in, seems pretty homerish.

Ah, the standard athlete "wrong crowd" excuse.

Aldon Smith, of recent Mizzou vintage, always happened to end up with the wrong crowd. Until everyone figured out Aldon Smith IS the wrong crowd.

Michael Vick was also victimized by the wrong crowd. I believe Aaron Hernandez was somewhat in the thrall of the wrong crowd as well.

Good guy, wrong crowd. So sad.
