That's making the assumption that anyone cares about UVa football.

Actually London should go to Bowling Green, since Dave Clawson recruited the players that won him the games that got him the UVa job in the first place.

Eh, UVa may not be a powerhouse, but they should be better than they've been the past 5 years or so. Not saying it is all on London, but they should at least be competitive in the ACC, not going winless in conference.

Speaking of coaches, David Cutcliffe of Duke is my choice for national Coach of the Year. To win 10 games and the division title at Duke is phenomenal.

Dave Christensen resigns at Wyoming after five seasons.

Not an ideal job but facilities are good, plenty of resources and the MWC isn't what it was back when Wyoming was a champion with Utah and BYU in the league so no reason it can't be competitive.

If there was ever a coaching job I'm rooting for Lane Kiffin to get, Wyoming would be it.

I think Ed O can do better than Wyo but I can see him calling recruits This is EdO from Wyo. Reel off a 7-5, 8-4 season every few years and become a legend in Laramie - like Joe Tiller did with ColoState

Disappointed in this as a Pokes fan. DC seemed like he enjoyed Laramie and did put an exciting product and offense on the field. Hope he lands in a good place.

I guess, but everyone wanted to anoint Wake Forest's Jim Grobe when he had a big year in a crappy ACC a few years back. His teams have gotten steadily worse since then.

I think it's Malzahn, given the instant turnaround. Although I think that has as much to do with how shitty a coach Gene Chizik was as it does with any Malzahn "magic."

He can take John Oliver with him. Tony Bennett and some non-revenue hires allow Craig Littlepage to keep his job. But they need to gut the football program completely.

The job Cutcliffe has done reminds me of something Terry Bowden once said when asked about the coaching job Steve Spurrier had done at Florida during their mid-90s heyday.
"A great coach at Duke wins nine games a year. A great coach at Florida wins them all," Bowden said.
Guess that makes Cutcliffe a great coach.

ESPN crawl cites Joe Schad report that James Franklin and Chris Petersen are top candidates, and search could be done by midweek.

"Joe Schad reports" is fraught will all kinds of peril, unfortunately ...
