Maryland should dump a Edsall and hire Orgeron. So Md can thrash SC in a Rose Bowl #wishfulthinkingwithasideoftequila

He may need to wait one more year as it doesn't seem like there are many guys who are going to get fired and not much movement so there may be nowhere for him to go.

Saw somewhere that Dana Holgerson is the median point of coaching hires in FBS. So I can see him waiting another year, sure.

Funny thing is - my money is on Ed O being the Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

Median point in terms of what? Maybe my brain is just fried but I'm not sure what this means.

I cannot imagine Paul Johnson's seat at Tech is even the least bit warm.

If I'm KU, I'm negotiating Charlie Cheeseburgers buyout right now, and on the phone with Orgeron.

Oh yeah, forgot about Charlie Weis - why hasn't he been fired yet?

Kansas and Ed Orgeron. KU was all ga-ga over the coach best known for losing to USC. Now they could hire the coach from USC who lost to Notre Dame.

This made me think of Mark Mangino, who made Kansas somewhat decent for a couple of years. I saw that he's an assistant at Youngstown State now. I'm quite surprised he hasn't landed elsewhere. Until I found out about Youngstown, I had this image of Mangino spending a year in a hot yoga room, trimming from 400 pounds to a svelte 185.

All for the day Bill Snyder retires and hands over the reigns to Mangino who, at 185 pounds, would look at....Walter White.

Then Mangino will return Kansas State to its Snyder tradition of beating the Jayhawks 54-6...usually in Lawrence.

Disappointed in Pat Haden as an AD.

Here's what I don't get about the USC coaching deal. If you knew or suspected all along that you were going to go after someone from outside the program, why fire Kiffin mid-season? You're little late-season resurgence accomplished zilch.

If you were wanting to audition Orgeron for a couple of months to see what he would be like, what more were you wanting from him?

Did the outcome of the UCLA game make a difference? Or was it a done deal by that point?

Except that they are soooooo borrrrrr-ing to watch. Dive play, dive play, pitch play for three hours every game. Effective against lesser teams, not very entertaining to watch or play.
