Bodie still thinks he's going to Seattle.

I suspect UW could have him a few years back. Mora's doing OK at UCLA.

Pinkel to UDub? God I hope not.

BTW, I'm about 7 pages behind so apologies if already mentioned but...

Vandy's James Franklin looks to be, at best, tarnished -- if not worse -- by the rape scandal that's hanging over his program. That's the word I heard on West End during my Thanksgiving visit to Nashville.

Are you just connecting dots or did you actually hear that?

I don't see them going for a guy who will be 64 when he coaches his first game there.

UDub's best hire ever was Don James, from the MAC. They could do far worse than the guy at NIU, and they even have a QB with similar skills as Lynch as the probable starter next season.

Geographically it's a little worse for Maryland, but not as bad as you think. They trade Virginia and Virginia Tech as relatively short bus rides for Penn State and Rutgers, beyond that everything is either a long, shitty bus ride or a flight no matter which conference the Terps are in. I-70 to Columbus is probably an easier drive than US-29 down to North Carolina. A plane ride to Madison ain't much different than a plane ride to Tallahassee.

Didn't realize Sarkisian originally attended USC. Hard to believe they opted for Brad Otten over him. He lit it up at BYU.

I hadn't heard that either, but even if there are whispers of it.....it doesn't make any sense.

If you're going to leave a school, leave it for a reason. Not just for a change of scenery. Mizzou is ranked 5th in the country, playing in the SEC Championship Game. Where's the upside here?

And don't say money. That is a hideous excuse to leave a school.

Petersen's name has surfaced for the UW job.

I hope he goes there and pulls a Dan Hawkins, just to show Bodie how good he had it with Sark.

    Schad tweeted it last night.

    Seattle Times also had it.
