49ers OC Greg Roman to interview at Penn State, per Bruce Feldman:

Yeah. The Niners still being in the mix kind of complicates that. Penn Staters know that from the timing of the O'Brien hiring. You want to get the guy in there to soothe recruits, and he's trying to win a Super Bowl.

    Did Franklin turn them down?

I would certainly think Penn State would give him a contract similar to what Strong got at Texas. I don't know enough about Vandy to know if they could match something like that. I would think they could.

I don't know that Penn State should be so hot to hire a coach who had a sexual assault scandal at his current job, one that involved all his own recruits.

I don't think money is an issue at Vanderbilt. The willingness to spend it on athletics, however, is another matter.

That was the deal at Stanford for awhile. As soon as they decided to make a real committment to football they were in really good shape. Maybe the taste of success Franklin has given them is enough to make Vandy do the same.

I really hope Petrino wins 10 games at Louisville next season - and then bolts to the next highest rung on the coaching ladder less than 24 hours after the season ends.

Really thought Jurich was smarter than this.

And I'm not talking about Jessica Dorrell. But the way he left the Atlanta Falcons, and the way he has leap-frogged all over the map. Louisville cannot be this desperate, can it?
