I'm guessing there are only three levels of being a football coach.

    Campus God
    Looking for a better gig
    Hot Seat

If you aren't a Campus God (Urban Meyer, Saban) you are Looking for a Better Gig where you would become a Campus God because you know you are only one more bad season away from being on the Hot Seat.

The facilities upgrade part of this will be interesting to watch for the simple reason that there really isn't anywhere to build around the football stadium.

The practice field is down the hill and on the other side of Boulder Creek. They don't have an indoor facility that I'm aware of and the only place to put one would be immediately to the east of the stadium right along Folsom Street on what I think is the soccer field. Given the treehugger nature of the average Boulderite good luck getting that built.

If Strong bolts somewhere else, would Louisville re-hire Petrino?

I think Arkanpig would hire him back before Louisville.

It would make sense, but who knows if he torched the bridge when he left. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Not only no, but hell no.

Was only a brain-teasing thought. I doubt he left on the best of terms with Jet-Gate and all with Auburn.

My hope is Tennessee hires Gundy and Strong together. Co-Head Coach. Pay them 3mil/year each and watch the team succeed. LOL

Mike Gundy? You say some strange things sometimes.

Tell me his offense with Strong's defense wouldn't be awesome. Look, I'm basically hiring coordinators here as HC.

Sure. He also makes more than $3.5 million at a job he'll never be fired from where he has complete control. It's more likely Jon Gruden walks through that door than Gundy takes an offensive head coach position.

Also, are you telling me you're an Alabama fan and a Tennessee fan? That doesn't work.

I'm a Jacksonville State fan who enjoys rooting for both Alabama and Tennessee who doesn't like Auburn very much and wants Ole Miss to win 7 games a year. Oh, and for LSU to get lost in the Gulf somewhere.

Mike Gundy got a shorter contract than Travis Ford and does not get along with the AD. I wouldn't consider him a lock to remain in Stillwater.
