I don't get it... However the Big Ten, er 11, er 12, er 14 realigns the Leaders, Legends and Losers Divisions... Wisconsin is looking at being second best every year behind Ohio State, maybe beating them sometimes, maybe losing; and hanging with Nebraska, Michigan, Mich. St., etc.

Going to the SEC, he's looking at third or fourth in the west every year ('Bama, LSU, TAMU) and the East ain't bad either. Expectations are high at Arkanpig and he's going to have a tough time living up to them.

So does Alvarez tap himself to be the interim HC for the Rose Bowl?

We may never know, but I'm guessing things were not all roses (pun intended) for him behind the scenes in Madison. A million-dollar raise or whatever obviously is incentive to move, but walking away from $2.5 million (and a shit-ton of job security) at Wisconsin does make you wonder.

The wife meets SEC standards, though I think a bit too young to be The Crazy quite yet:

Bielema to Arkansas is laughably bad.

Well, true. But it can't always be about a national title, because that's a pipe dream for most of us. It's like becoming president.

And, no way on God's green earth does Arkansas EVER go 11-1. It's the third, probably now fourth, program in it's own SEC division. They'll do well to have a winning record in conference games most seasons.

I'd bet $5,000 that neither Oklahoma State nor Arkansas ever plays for a national title in my lifetime. And that I won't ever be president. Besides, even if you DID win a national title, first question you get asked is "Do you think you can win it again next year?"

Find you a good job, in a place you like that pays a decent salary and have people treat you well, where the resources are somewhat in line with expectations. And go out and do what you always said you wanted to do.

New rumor on Twitter is Butch Jones to Wisconsin.

Good coaches are competitive and think they can win wherever they go. He'll also make much, much more money at Arkansas than he ever would at Wisconsin.

I noted earlier (and someone, I think Vers, mocked it), but he is not a very good game coach. He also is not all that well regarded within the state. They are 5-9 in one-score games the last three years and most people believe there has been coaching buffoonery involved in all of the losses that have kept them out of the BCS championship game. (The Hail Mary loss to Michigan State in 2011 being the primary example.) That sounds super-delusional and it probably is on the part of the fan base, but it would be a mistake to think he had an adoring public and a state's worth of support.
