Surprised they didn't go with Notre Dame's DC. Seemed like a good fit.

Playing in the national title game is probably holding Diaco back. I doubt he'd leave ND before that.

That said, I could see Alvarez waiting on him.

Someone on twitter said that Cincy is matching the 6-year, $15 million fully guaranteed offer that Colorado gave him.

I don't believe it for a second. I could see him staying in Cincy, but no way does that school give him that much money.

I'm guessing Southern Miss might be interested if he is. The Golden Eagles and Larry Eustachy used each other pretty well in basketball.

That's been the hot rumor in Hattiesburg for a few days now.

His agent supposedly reached out to them, but it hasn't gotten to the interview stage as far as I know.

I'm breathlessly awaiting the reaction when Tennessee announces it's hiring Bo Pelini.

I'm also surprised MacIntyre's not getting more buzz. After hearing about the budget and recruiting limitations he faced, sounds like the job he did there was nothing short of miraculous.

He took over a left for dead program and somehow got them from 1-12 to 10-2 in two years. Why isn't this turning more heads?

With MacIntyre, it could be one of these two things, or I could be full of shit:

    1) Call me a cynic, but MacIntyre is a very devout Christian and I believe quite open about it. I don't know if that would have been the best mix at either Cal or Colorado.

    2) In the non-cynical realm, his son will be a senior in HS and the starting QB at one of the area's top powers. I wonder if he has maybe told his agent he would like to be here for the end of the kid's HS career and then take a look.

This fanboi be happy with Chryst.

The repeat Barry Alvarez - taking a DC from Notre Dame - would probably work as well.
