I had been looking for something to replace my Chucky homage. Thanks!

Condredge Holloway, first in SEC history
    Jimmy Streater
    Tony Robinson
    Tee Martin (won National Championship)

I'm thinking you won't find many SEC schools with more.

Furthermore, why the fuck would that matter? How many black quarterbacks has Vanderbilt had?

According to Joe Schad (I know, I know), Tennessee has hired Butch Jones:

    EDIT: Tennessee confirms:

UT spent $9 million to fire Derek Dooley and staff in order to hire Butch Jones.

    SMH.

I suppose we can stop calling Tennessee one of the 15-20 best jobs in the country. If we haven't already, I mean.

Yeah, but Sterling Henton and Brent Schaeffer both lost their jobs to white guys! And when Jerry Colquitt was sidelined by a knee injury in his first game . . . he was replaced by a white guy!

And don't forget the Leak brothers: Chris, the one who was committed to UT for oh, about 12 years before being offended at the treatment of his brother at UT backing out and going to Florida at the last minute. And C.J., the aforementioned brother who became a Vol (to help ensure that Chris would come) and played some at QB after about 12 knee surgeries.

Hey, maybe we have irony here! C.J. Leak, who was given a scholly to help the Vols land Chris, winds up being the reason the Vols don't get Chris.

Beats any use of the word I see as an editor, anyway.

I love the smell of a panic hire in the morning. It smells like victory.

Jones was not a bad hire by any stretch, but he's several steps below all of the others who turned the Vols down.

I'm kind of excited at the possibility of Strong staying at Louisville long term.

Brad Childress appears to be lobbying for the Wisconsin job.

Not sure he's first on the list. Alvarez mentioned that five minutes after finding out, he had a coach in his hotel room, talking about the job. Sounds like it was another college coach at the same convention.

And Paul Chryst is out, Alvarez said he wouldn't pursue Chryst since he had been at Pitt only one year and that Alvarez had helped him get the job.
