I think Bobby Diaco winds up in Madison.

Yeah, if Alvarez truly helped Chryst get the Pitt job, it would look bad if he hired him away a year later...

I wonder if Childress' reputation keeps him out of consideration. Certainly not a bad coach, but I don't think players liked him.

Players love Bevell. He's young and he'd be a good face of the program, having played there, and he's done well in the NFL as well...

    Seems like a natural fit.

And I think Alvarez needs to be saluted for doing the right thing on Chryst. He didn't let any rumors or reports fester, just said right off the bat that he wouldn't pursue him and put any pressure on him to make a decision and possibly leave Pitt looking for a new coach yet again.

Alvarez has a reputation for being kind of slimy, but he's come across very well the last couple days.

Diaco would be a great hire.

Alvarez and Wisconsin are in a rare spot: They are losing a successful coach who leaves in a messy divorce, get to take the high road and look like the good guy, and have a chance to get a pretty big upgrade in the new coach.

I can't imagine Childress is really a viable candidate in Wisconsin. Do you really want a guy who's been in the pros and away from recruiting for that long? And whose players with the Vikings seemed to either openly loathe him, or at best merely tolerate him? He doesn't strike me as college head coaching material.

Being away from recruiting doesn't necessarily matter, especially if you were in the NFL... But Childress' reputation as being hated by players is why he's not a viable option.

Childress gives off a creepy vibe. Think the college kids would play for that?

On the other hand, he rocks the Madonna/Britney/Wendy's drive-thru manager headset, which is novel.

Maybe Favre could send a dick pic on Childress' behalf.

Only if while watching Sesame Street as kids they dreamed of playing football for Mr. Noodle.
