I read something last night on the Birmingham website that seemed to indicate that Petrino is the overwhelming favorite to get the Auburn job.

Georgia really hasn't been much of a consistent scare since the days of Vince Dooley.

And, regarding Muschamp's salary, this from a Sporting News story this past February:

Florida has extended the contract of coach Will Muschamp, adding a year to his original five-year deal and securing him through the 2016 season, Sporting News has learned.

Muschamp’s first Florida team went 7-6, including a Gator Bowl victory over Ohio State. His original contract was a five-year, $13.75 million deal (averaging $2.75 million a year). The one-year extension doesn’t include an increase in salary.

So where do we stand here in terms of guys getting fired. Are we really going to see changes at:

    Kentucky
    Auburn
    Tennessee
    Colorado
    Boston College
    California
    Arkansas

Is that about where the list is right now?

So SEC. So awesome. Lock up your daughters, Plainsmen! Unless you want them to get jobs in the athletic department.

I have it on good authority that Joker's job is safe at Kentucky, but he will have to replace a majority of his staff. Hard to believe, but my source is impeccable.

    Wow. That is amazing.

That just goes to show that all that school cares about is that the basketball team does well because he has been a disaster as a head coach.

Probably UTEP, too. Mike Price does not have a contract for 2013.

Embree probably should be fired, but I doubt he will be. Considering how long it took that school to get rid of Dan Hawkins, I'm guessing Embree gets another year.

I think Arkansas' meltdown this season has only helped his stock.

    Why is Tennessee so shitty?

When/why did Tennessee get so shitty? They were among the class of the SEC for a decade and a half. WTF has happened since 2007?

Next couple of weeks could be very critical.
