2013 College Football coaching carousel

    I think the perfect storm for any program is to have a former player come in and be a successful coach.

    Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech is the benchmark that every program would love to duplicate.

    Does the whole Baptist school thing make recruiting to Baylor problematic?

    I don't think so. Baylor is Baptist like Notre Dame is Catholic or TCU is whatever. That's where the money comes from, but in practice being a student isn't much different than at a state school. Unless you get caught smoking weed or banging a cheerleader. Then the pressure might be for a stiffer punishment.

    Now, recruiting at BYU might be a different kettle of fish.

    Yeah, there have been a few... I was going with a current one...

    Obviously, The Bear... Spurrier didn't do too badly at Florida...

    At Baylor, they now have to promise not to murder their teammates.
