Lubbock has an airport with at least 2-3 carriers... There are a lot of college towns that are a good hour or two to the nearest airport.

 

And Clemson has done OK for itself.

 

Clemson is driveable to several places. Lubbock not so much.

 

Hey, Lubbock is only 25 minutes from Levelland.

 

And Plainview, Idaluo and New Deal aren't far up the Amarillo Highway:

Everyplace is close to something, just not something that matters.

 

Dude, it was a joke (as well as an excuse to post a link to an REK song, not that I should ever need one). I'm already on record here as saying Lubbock is in the middle of nowhere and thus largely undesirable.

 

To interrupt the threadjack (maybe), by all indications Kliff Kingsbury has been offered the job at Texas Tech.
