I've always though of Riley as a West Coast version of Frank Beamer. You just don't hear anything bad about them.

As for the list - I think Riley would do better at most of those schools than most of those on the list would do at Corvallis

Frank Beamer had won 10 games in eight consecutive seasons before this one. Mike Riley has won 10 games once.

I like Mike Riley. He's a good coach. But he's 59, entrenched in his job and not a guy I would want to hire.

After seeing what Butch Jones has done to Tennessee's helmet... #FireButch will be trending when I'm finished.

    That's not horrible.

I like it. The only noticeable changes are using checkerboard instead of solid for the stripe and making the grill orange instead of white.

I agree about Riley being settled. And hope nobody does take him from OSU. I think most big-time schools consider a coaching hire a success if you get 10 years, or at least a BCS bowl.
Wisconsin is a hell of an opportunity though, it's not Ohio State but I would be surprised if they don't lure a top coach who has already taken a team to a BCS bowl.
I almost wonder if Alvarez was sniffing around about other Pac-12 coaches. Whittingham, Shaw....
I don't see Wisconsin adopting a wide-open attack, they will still bring the beef - and yet how many top-line coaches are out there that still are pro-style?

Too. Much. Orange. And this isn't Cincinnati, damnit! There are traditions and class to hold on to in Knoxville. Don't go changing simple, elegant and decent uniforms/helmets, man.

You're a fan of both Alabama and Tennessee. You have no credibility in arguments about tradition.

All I'm saying is, hey, all I'm saying is the helmets UT had were fine.

So it's nothing more than the checkerboard and the orange face masks? I can live with it. I have a bigger problem with the ever expanding face masks I'm seeing in football. Bars for the sake of bars.
