I really really hope you are wrong about this. As a Tech fan, they can't get rid of him fast enough.

Curious why you feel that way. The guy's a damn good coach.

No kidding. His teams are competitive and he's pulled off some big upsets (at Oklahoma last year, vs. West Virginia this year). Save the 2008 team (which still lost two of its last three games), that's about the best you can hope for in Lubbock.

Are you familiar with Chef's list of the best comedians in the world? ;D

Rumors rampant that Cheesedick's two best recruiters have been called home and that a NCAA LoI is in the mail.

Can't be good for job security!

The funny thing is that Trooper Taylor and Curtis Luper have still been spotted at Auburn HS games the last few weeks, which also happens to be where top recruit Reuben Foster (the kid with the AU tattoo on his arm) plays.

But since Taylor and Luper's sons both play at Auburn High, too, they are able to use the "pre-existing relationship" loophole to be able to attend those games in an unofficial capacity.

Actually covered an Auburn High game earlier this year at the immortal Duck Sanford Stadium (I just like the name, sue me). Sort of surprised me Luper's son went with Texas A&M over Auburn, but maybe that's a statement on the current state of the respective programs.

Some Aubies have been praying for a low-level investigation so the school can plead guilty and then fire Chizik with no buyout.

As for who's next, the War Chickens could do worse than raid Ole Miss again.

The "fighting dooleys" managed to win despite giving up a school record 721 yards to the Trojans of USC Troy. Good thing not many Vol fans were there to see it:

Not to mention Oregon is currently a better program than Texas. I agree, Kelly's next move would be to the NFL, get fired from the NFL, and possibly take the UT job in four to five years after enough years have passed that UT can buyout Brown.

Auburn and Tennessee won.... on the same day!

Arkansas also won. Kentucky, meanwhile, was routed 40-0 by Vanderbilt.
