Sam, has the O-line been a weakness for the Pack this year? NCSU, Wake and BC have fallen so far off my radar since expansion (well, BC was never on it) that I don't have a good feel for it. The UVa D-line has been terrible this year, and they were in Glennon's lap all day.

So, if Tennessee had lost to Troy over the weekend, would Derek Dooley been able to arrange a tee time with Joker Phillips today?

Re: Petrino. Can't stand the guy--a pathetic liar with zero percent integrity, but with what's going on at Auburn, I can easily see him there next year. Or another big time program. His ability to revive a program is what draws people to think of him as their best choice, not really setting it up for the long term. The live for today mentality that is so pervasive in college sports, uh, today.

Re: Ferentz. Good point on those saying who will you get as a replacement. As an Illini alum, I never in a million years would have thought I'd look back wistfully at the Ron Zook era....

Not even a season in, you've given up on Tim Beckman?

After back-to-back butt kickings by Indiana, of all people, and Ohio State, Zook does look better right now.

Alabama lost to Louisiana-Monroe in Nick Saban's first season.

Zook took them three bowls in five years. what do they expect? They're Illinois for fuck's sake. John Mackovic's not walking through that door.

    2-7.

Three 30+ point losses on the road.

A 28 point loss at home to Penn State. A 28 point loss at home to La Tech.

A 14 point loss at home to designated homecoming patsy Indiana.

They're not even competitive. Don't think I want to stick around to catch the end of this movie.....

Penn State and Louisiana Tech both are very good. Indiana is greatly improved.

I've often said it about the Big Ten. If Illinois and Minnesota can ever be decent at the same time, Wisconsin will collapse because they don't have enough in state talent.
