Is Idaho going back to the Big Sky?

Few may know it, but both Petrinos started their coaching careers in Montana.

Bobby Petrino was on his way to having his best years at Arkansas, then he broke his neck for some vagina.

Adam Hoge at CBS in Chicago says Vols have reached out to Bret Bielema.

That photo cracks me up, every damn time.

The Vols could do a lot worse than Bielema. I reckon Pat Fitzgerald will never leave Northwestern, but it's always worth shaking those branches.

Appalachian State announces the retirement of Jerry Moore.
Oddly enough, no words from the coach, himself. More to this than meets the eye.

I'd think that would be a quality hire. Being a Big Ten guy since he was played at Iowa, I would be a little surprised if he would go to Tennessee.

But with 2 straight Rose Bowls, his star probably will never be brighter than now. And with Ohio State and Michigan seemingly building some big things in that conference, there may not be a lot of trips to Pasadena available in the next few years.

Not if he can't figure out to call plays once the script runs out. Arkansas was pretty good offensively in the first quarter, but got worse as the game went on.

Tennessee has turned into an over-the-hill whore.

I don't know about Michigan, but Ohio State is going to own that conference for the foreseeable future.
Bielema should take it. I think he's gone as far as he can at Wisconsin. If Meyer can put together a 12-0 season this year, I figure he'll be able to do it when it counts. Rose Bowls are great, but I'm sure Wisconsin fans feel the novelty has worn off and they want national championships. He's locked up through 2017, probably 2018 now with the Rose Bowl. It's going to cost Tennessee big if they want him. Probably $3 mil a year for six-seven years, plus the buyout.

Bret Bielema is not a good coach. He constantly makes clock-management errors, and every year there's a game where everyone finally says, "See there. See that? Why the fuck can't we play like that?" The 500-plus rushing yards against Nebraska on Saturday night would count there.

Fun fact: In the Badgers' three consecutive Rose Bowl seasons, they are 5-9 in games decided by one score.
