These are the things about Hall of Fame voting that bug me:

Last year Jack McCaffery voted for nine players on the ballot.

This year Jack McCaffery voted for nine players on the ballot. He voted for five newcomers -- Bonds, Clemens, Biggio, Piazza and Schilling. He carried over votes for Bagwell, McGwire, Morris and Trammell.

He had one more spot to fill on his ballot, yet he didn't vote for any of the four guys he voted for last year still on the ballot (his other choice was Larkin) -- Raines, Smith, Walker and Mattingly.

I get if he would have used the 10th spot for Sosa or Lofton or one of the other newcomers. But he has a spot for any of the four he thought were Hall of Famers a year ago yet now he doesn't vote for them.

My point to you is that EVERYBODY knew he had been caught, and that he had admitted it. Everyone except you. And if you had taken two minutes two do a search on Google, you wouldn't have made such an ass of yourself.

But instead of simply admitting to your mistake, you lash out at me and go on about all the times you saw him get searched without being caught, all of which is meaningless given that he was caught and has since admitted that he cheated.

I already explained my point to you, but since you asked so nicely, I'll do it again. It is too late to protect the Hall of Fame from dirtbags and cheats. They are already in there. And yes, it does seem to me that for the voters who insist on making a big fuss out of keeping the accused steroid users out, it is all about their own egos. "Look at me! I'm protecting the integrity of the game! I'm so dedicated to protecting it that I'm going to punish guys who weren't even proven to be cheats!"

The cop's job is to bust people for breaking the law, and that includes gathering evidence. At least in Perry's case, there is no doubt he cheated. He got busted and confessed.

and we were having a discussion with people who actually have a vote. they were discussing the hows and whys of their votes and then you came along and made it all about you and your petty little fucking bitchfest.

you had to be a cock sucker and attack those people and then turn the thread into an argument with someone else. this thread, at some point had a lot of potential with people who, ya know, actually have an impact with who get into the hall of fame. instead, your insignificant ass took it to the bottom line yet again.
